We're a fully student-run team. Every dollar and donated part goes straight into building the machine, and into the engineers building it.

- Hardware (cutterhead, hydraulics and machining): our largest line at $48,000
- Electrical and software (motors, sensors and telemetry that steer the bore): $12,000
- Tunnel segments and the launch structure the machine digs from: $20,000
- Competition logistics (travel, shipping and accommodations): $14,000
- Miscellaneous expenses (the final touches for a winning machine): $10,000
- A $104,000 season budget, run entirely by students
